Honestly, if you&#039;re any good at cooking rice I can see going without one, or how it might seem unnecessary, but this has saved me from burning rice 3-4 times/week for five years. I just couldn&#039;t master the &#039;boil, then simmer, but don&#039;t set it on fire&#039; aspect of rice cooking. I hope you enjoy yours!</description>
